On 17 October 2026, Yarram hosts its first-ever TEDx event. Set inside the beloved Art Deco Regent Theatre - a community landmark since 1930 - TEDxYarram brings together thinkers, makers, and storytellers from across the region and beyond for a day built around ideas worth spreading. Expect big ideas delivered in short, sharp talks. The kind that stay with you on the drive (or walk) home.
TED is a nonprofit dedicated to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks. TEDx events are independently organised local events that bring the spirit of TED to communities around the world. TEDxYarram is organised under a free licence from TED - run by locals, for the region - with the same high standards that have made TED one of the most trusted idea platforms on the planet. The x in TEDx stands for independently organised. The ideas are entirely our own.
Do you have an idea worth sharing?
We're looking for speakers from across Gippsland and beyond. TEDxYarram wants people with a genuine idea, an unexpected perspective, or a story that shifts the way we see the world. You don't need to be a professional speaker. You need a real idea and the courage to share it in 12 minutes or less. We'll help with the rest.
Original thinking - not a product pitch or a promotional talk
A willingness to work with our speaker coaches in the lead-up to the event
Local voices warmly encouraged - but open to all backgrounds and experience levels
Tickets to TEDxYarram include full-day access to all talks, morning and afternoon sessions, and a community lunch in between. Numbers are limited to 100 according the TEDx license, so early registration is advised.
Pricing will be announced shortly.
